One Last Ride

Hello again, it's been a while. It's time to begin the portfolio project and I'm very excited to finally begin my last project in AICE Media. It's been great, it really has. Now for A levels project it's a bit different. This time we have four different options. 

Portfolio Project- A level:

Option 1: Music promotion package

The promotion package is for the release of an album. You have to include a music video, a social media page for the band or artist, and a digipak for the album's release.

Option 2: Film promotion package

This promotion package is for a new film. This includes two trailers, a social media page for the film, and a poster for the film.

Option 3: Documentary package

This is an extract from an original documentary TV program and it should last about five minutes. This will go with an official social media page for the documentary as well as a magazine article. 

Option 4: Short film package

This is a short film that will last about five minutes. It can be either live-action or animated, even a combination of both. This will go with an official social media page for a short film and a postcard advertisement for the film that would be given out at a short film festival. 

Throughout the 10 weeks, we will be using this blog to communicate our planning, ideas, changes, research, editing, and reflection. By the end, we will have to create a critical reflection, an evaluative essay of around 1000 words. The critical reflection should answer the following questions:

• How do your products represent social groups or issues?
• How do the elements of your production work together to create a sense of ‘branding’?
• How do your products engage with the audience?
• How did your research inform your products and the way they use or challenge conventions?
